Drawing up plans

This project highlights another customer of ours who we acquired through word of mouth. As we've continued to build the brand our existing customer base has been instrumental to our success! For this specific project the customer was searching for a team that not only could perform a tear out of the existing landscape but also propose a new design that would bring new color and life to the front yard and the exterior of the home. Brock met with the customer and marked all existing plants that needed to be torn out. Brock discussed potential options for decorative rock and most importantly took notes on the customers plant preferences. They were looking for something low maintenance and colorful and ideally wanted varying heights and plants types. Immediately following the quote the team got to work crafting a project blueprint that fit the customers taste. The plan included colorful nandinas, a flowering hydrangea tree, a beautiful weeping japanese maple, a rheingold arborvitae shrub, purple salvia, and two spiral arborvitae trees to frame the front entrance! We presented the customer with a project blueprint along with visual aids and an itemized quote. After seeing the plans and pricing it was an easy decision to move forward. We collected a 10% deposit and pinned down a start date!

Completing the project

The team arrived early in the morning with all of the necessary materials and the project blueprint to reference before breaking ground. After aligning all expectations with the customer the team immediately started on the tear out portion of the project removing a large number of existing bushes from the roots up. Following the removal of the bushes the team began prepping the beds, removing all mulch and other vegetation before installing high grade landscape fabric. After placing the fabric the team installed the many trees and bushes. After providing the plants with an initial watering it was time for the rock. The team used the hydraulic dump trailer to speed up the process and increase the efficiency of the work. The rock large decorative rock really brought the entire project together. Following the installation the team made finishing touches and cleaned up the work space. At this point the project was ready for the customer review.

Special considerations

  • Precisely matching the new with the existing rock
  • Findings plants that met the customers size preferences even at maturity
  • Carefully working around existing stone edging

Outcome

Our customers was extremely satisfied with the final result. The variety of plants provided the look that they wanted! Above all they were impressed with the speed at which the team worked, the project was started in the early hours of the morning and was completed by the afternoon. This ensured that their weekend plans weren't interrupted! The customers were extremely enjoyable to work with from start to finish. They provided the team with a rough idea of what they were looking for and gave us the space to deliver on the rest! To our delight their next door neighbor expressed interest in a landscaping refresh after watching the team's hard work during the day. We were able to take measurements on the spot and completed his project just a few short weeks later! Our team takes pride in delivering great results and will continue to do so locally for many years to come.
